In a statement released today morning by the Traffic police spokesperson Faridah Nampiima, she revealed that the the accident that claimed the sensational FM station chief involved motor vehicle Toyota Hilux that was being driven by LT. Col. Byaruhabga Ephraim the intelligence officer for the UPDF first infantry division in Kakiri and motor vehicle Benz black in color which was being driven by Kamugisha Pius the Galaxy FM C.E.O.
“The territorial traffic police at Kajjansi have registered a fatal accident at Nakigala along the Entebbe – Kampala Express highway. The accident happened on 22nd October 2022 at around 10:00pm,”Traffic Spox reported.
She adds that, “Both drivers motor vehicles were from Entebbe side heading to Busega side enroute the Entebbe – Kampala Expressway and towards Nakigalala at Kilometer 10, Kamugisha decided to overtake the Toyota Hilux which was driving in the outer lane at a short distance and in the process, he knocked the Hilux on the rear light on the driver’s side.”
“The cause of the accident has been attributed to reckless driving and drinking as some Bottles of Alcohol were recovered from the vehicle of the deceased,” Nampiima.
The body of the deceased was conveyed to Mulago mortuary for postmortem.
